When I saw this sketch this card came to mind immediately. I wasn't sure what color the butterfly would be, but I sure do love the way it turned out.

I was so happy to see a challenge for a shaker card as I wanted to show off this card which I made for my son and his bride. I used the MFT wine glass shaker dies and pouches and added some clear drops for the inside. I love the elegance of the cream colored cardstock along with the gold touches. I hope they like it!

It is very rare that I use one card for 2 challenges, but today I'm making an exception. I was coloring some of the cacti from the MFT set "Sweet Succulents" when I realized that this cute little round cactus would fit so sweetly in the little square in the Freshly Made sketch and that the colors from the Color Throwdown Challenge, I just took the chance. I love the way it turned out. I love the colors together. I added some small leaves from the set stamped in VersaMark for interest on the blue section.

When I saw these colors, I thought immediately of an Iris. This stamp is from Technique Tuesday released last year. I love simple flower stamps. They make such a statement!

I learned this technique on a recent card making retreat. We used foil on sticky paper for the green border and then covered the rest of the piece with glitter. I thought it would make a great Christmas Card, so I rotated the sketch and this was the result!

I knew when I saw this sketch, that I wanted to use the word You. Don't know how well the glitter in the fireworks shows up, but lots of different colors and sparkle!

My part time work has come to an end, so I'm starting the month with a card. I have missed the creative time and hope I can find more of it. I love this sketch, although I did turn it to accommodate the bold sentiment from MFT. I have a young man in mind as the recipient for this card and I love the clean lines of the sketch.
