I have been enjoying the masking stencils from TE. Here I used a deckled edge masking stencil along with the waves stencil. I love the blended look with the nice edge this gives.

TE Mini Slim Card

Taylored Expressions came out with a new size card called the Mini Slim. It is 6 inches long and I am loving it. I chose to make a tri-fold for my first attempt and I am loving it.

I love these colors. My photo is not really true of the colors. We have had lots of clouds and can't seem to get enough light. I used the TE new card kit called "Field Notes". I watercolored the flower with TE liquid watercolors in Guava, Pineapple and Candy Corn, along with some Peapod for the leaf and stem. I used the included stencil and blended Guava and Pineapple inks for the background. I mounted this on a "Peaches and Cream" card base. I love the combination and also the way this card turned out. It's on its way for a friend's birthday.

I had so much fun choosing elements for this card. I used some SU paper, MFT paper, TE cardstock,  MFT dies and The Greetery sentiment. I am particularly fond of the cardstock color. I think it pulled everything together.

Sympathy card

Our pastor's brother passed away and I needed a sympathy card for him. I used a combination of buttercream and toffee paper and ink. Everything but the flourish on the strip is from Taylored Expressions. I love the way it turned out.

Halloween wine

This card was originally shared by Karolyn, one of the designers from MFT. I emailed her for some advice and she was kind enough to help me. I love the way it turned out. The sentiment is what drew me to the card.

MFT Birthday Project

This month's challenge was to include a gift card in the project. I couldn't decide which to use, but I have had this design in my mind for quite awhile and thought I would try with a birthday card. I was thinking Christmas and although that is my daughter's birthday, I have always tried to keep the two separate occasions for her. I had not had a chance to use the cupcake dies and this proved to be the right size card to feature it. I am loving the look of this and I can see many more with this design.

I started to make a card for the Birthday Challenge at MFT, but was having a hard time getting started. When I saw these colors, the card just kind of came together. I wasn't sure about the aqua and pink, but I love them together. I'll be entering it over there as well.

I decided to leave off the "birthday" so that I can use it for any type of card. I love it.

This sketch is so fun. I had this underwater paper that I had been wanting to use. It was too much for the whole front of a card, so it sat in the drawer. I love the way this turned out. A few bubbles and a fun sentiment makes a card worthy to send.

I wasn't sure about these colors, but they came together beautifully. The sentiment stamp is a new one from Dare2B Artsy. My blue strip photographed much darker than it really is!

Thank you for this great sketch. I love all the elements and a chance to add to my Christmas Cards.

This is my first attempt at a slimline card. Most of the others that I saw were a scene and I thought I would like to try something a little simpler for my first try. I'm really happy with the way this turned out. I tried to create my own background, but I couldn't get the size right. Although the card is long, the small width proved to be a problem for me. I will definitely try again as I see other ideas.
