MFT Color 157

What beautiful colors for a manly card! I love the way this turned out.

I have a friend who has had several major surgeries over the past year and now is in rehab learning how to function again. I thought this light hearted card might cheer him up.

I have had these quilt dies since September and I had time on Sunday to play with them and this is the result. I love quilting as it is like a puzzle. The was no exception except on a smaller (much smaller) scale. I'm happy with the result and will have to order the circles next. they are from SSS and the paper is from TE.

This will be a Valentine for my husband. Hard to keep it hidden from him as he likes to comment on all of my cards!

I chose to use this beautiful background stamp which I embossed with silver embossing powder. I colored with copics and then c hose a section to cut apart. I mounted the pieces on a piece of dark red paper for contrast. I love the elegance of this type of card

I wasn't too sure about the colors, but I pulled out the stamp and stencil from Taylored Expressions and set out to find out how many colors would look rust. I started with "Rusty hinges" from Tim Holtz and matched the other two colors with inks from TE. I love how the brown and cream made the colors stand out.

I chose to make a mini slim card. I love this smaller size as I usually can't space things as well on the full sized one. My cousin's birthday is on Valentines Day so I try to combine both. I'm very pleased with the way that this turned out and is simple enough for a man.
