When I saw these colors, all I could think about was bees. It just wouldn't come together for me and I thought that I might have to skip this week. I was putting stencils away and saw this plaid from Taylored Expressions. I knew right away what to do. I have so many cards for men to make this summer and these colors were perfect. Card has the hubby seal of approval and that's good enough for me!!

I truly love this sketch. I used a piece of designer paper from my stash. I cut the white piece with an edger die that I have in my collection. I stamped the flower, matching the printed paper as best as I could, and sentiment on white. I added some splatters of light blue ink and some clear droplets.

With these delicate colors, I felt that less was better. I chose my three colors for a mini rainbow. I used silver to accent it and also for my greeting. I love the way this turned out and I'm already thinking about other combos that would work well here.

This is a background stamp from MFT. I had used a portion of it on another card and when I saw this sketch, I knew that I had just the right tag. I love the way this turned out and I can't wait to send it to a friend.

This card became a designer's pick!

I knew that I wanted to use a layered flower for this card. I love the pink and red color combination for flowers. I think they look elegant on the chocolate brown. I used a foiled sentiment for just a little bling!

I had a hard time choosing papers for this card, then I remembered a video where the designer said that by using papers from a collection, you could be sure that they would go together. I am liking the way this turned out and I love the fact the Julee gives the measurements for the pieces.

I made a mini slim for this week's sketch. I'm trying to use some of my beautiful patterned paper as focal points on my cards and this framed image was perfect.

I have to thank Wanda for the beautiful colors this week. My first inclination was to use one of my beautiful layered floral stamps or stencils, but then I saw a video called "A Sheetload of Cards". This young lady, Crafty Al, uses a single sketch to make a number of cards. She provides the sketch and cutting diagram. When I saw her sketch, I knew that I had patterned paper containing these colors. I love the way it turned out (along with the 5 others)! Next will be a birthday version!

This turned out much better that I had hoped for. I had a hard time with the circle at first but after pulling out my favorite wood chip from The Greetery, everything else fell into place. I used one of my new Karin markers for the background and since I had used Taylored Expressions products for everything else, I splattered with TE toffee ink,. I love the clean look!

This card became a designer's choice.
