TESJC27

This was my first time using the Tic-Tac-Toe method for designing my card. I must admit that I like the sketch method better, but I was up to the challenge. This die has been one of my favorites since I first set eyes on it. I love it paired with the the newer Butterflies and Swirls embossing folder.

MFT Color Challenge 41

The instant I saw the colors in this challenge, I thought about the Lily die-namics. I haven't used them in quite awhile, but these colors inspired me. I also used the sunray stencil and the diamonds and dots background.

When I saw this sketch, I knew it had to be a "Belly Band" card. I've been thinking about Christmas Cards lately. I usually try to do 4 a month so that I'm not scrambling at the end. I had seen this off center gatefold and really liked the look, but what paper to use. Then I remembered the cool striped background stamp that I had not used in some time and the card was born. The little "Elfies" were dying to get out and play so I grabbed one, colored him up, and a few gold touches and he is ready when the time comes! The background for the circle is one of the gifts from the set stamped with "Sparkle Versa Mark" so they really shine.

Since today is the first day of spring, I thought I would pay homage with some spring flowers. I'm thinking Easter as well, so yellow has been my choice for the past few cards. I love MFT's Modern Blooms with the multi layer stamp effects. I think it will be a great Easter card.

This card is for a very Irish friend of mine whom I have not seen in more than a year. Just want him to know that I think of him often and wish I could be spending this day with him.

I turned the sketch on the side in order to make this card. I used Blueprints 26 for "happy" and "birthday". I dry embossed the background and gently colored the raised part with ripe raspberry, limelight, daffodil and blu raspberry die inks. I mounted the "birthday" strip on a piece of paper cut from the dots and stripes sorbet pack. I finished with some enamel dots.

I love this chocolate stamp set. I think this will be good for someone who is feeling down!

I was so excited when this set arrived, that I had to stamp and color. My sister's birthday is this week, and I thought this would be a cute card for her. I added some "Blissful Blooms" for a feminine accent and some "Wink of Stella" and a few PPP sequins for sparkle.

MFT color challenge 40

I love the soft colors in this challenge. I added stems in Kraft and spearmint, then used Versamark to add the detail so that I could stay within the same colors. My vase was edged and grounded using Copic markers. A few tiny pearls, and the card was finished. I'm going to keep this palate close by.

I chose to make an A2 card from this sketch because I want to mail it. This is such a nice sentiment for someone who is dealing with some shocking news and I wanted to cheer them up. I water colored my flower with Zig markers. I love the vibrant color which draws the eye to the sentiment.

I'm trying to get a jump on Christmas cards this year so my goal is one a week. I thought this sketch was perfect for two of my favorite TE elements, the tree and the holly cutting plate. Don't they look festive?

I still love this little clown. She makes me feel like a kid each time I color her. I thought this would be a cute birthday card for a friend who is not feeling well.
