MOJO505

I always love the layers on Julee's cards. It lets me use some of my beautiful papers in ways I don't think of. So many cards now are just one layer and I have a hard time with those!

I'm not really fond of shaped cards and a square is no exception, but I gave it a try. I love the Peach collection of paper from Kaiser Craft and this card went together quite easily. When I finished, it said "Thank you card" to me, so the sentiment was added.

I'm not sure how the black cardstock keeps showing up in my cards this week, but I like the drama that it adds. When I first saw the colors, I knew that I wanted to try some of the red fancy wool felt from Taylored expressions. It really did stand out! I kept the rest pretty simple but did use a mini rolled rose in peach for the center.

When I looked at this sketch, I knew immediately how I wanted to do the background but I wasn't thinking black! However I am loving the look.

SIP179

I got this beautiful stamp from Power Poppy last week and just knew it had to be the focal point of my card. I colored with copics and added gold Wink of Stella to the bells. I framed it with some stripes and I am very happy with how it turned out.

I pulled out some oldies for this card. Trying to get ahead of the male birthdays in my family coming up very soon.l

I love the elegance of the color palate. I didn't want it to be too dark, so I chose the black for the accent. I am very happy with the results.

I found this beautiful snowflake paper on a recent trip to our local scrapbook store. I love the rose gold accents, so that's what I chose for my accents. I took advantage of the small circle to include a shaker element.

Since the advent of die cuts, I don't use as many punches as I used to. I saw this daisy punch and stamp set in the SU catalog and thought, "that would make a pretty card", so I gave it a try. I love the way it turned out and can't wait to try another.
