This card just says summer birthday to me and I have many of them coming up. I fell in love with the watermelon die the first time I saw it. It is my favorite fruit and the detail even in the seeds is just wonderful. I also love the layered sentiment.

My friend recently lost her furry friend and I was trying to come up with a card. The simplicity of this sketch was perfect.

I love this color combination. I used a stamp set from a new to me company called Dare 2B Artzy. I was drawn to the waves in the stamp. The company has a paper collection called Seas the Day and offers die cuts to cut out parts of the paper. I thought this was a great idea and I was so pleased with the way this card turned out.

I chose to make a Pop Up Shadow Box card. The stamps and background stencil are from one of the Hero Arts Monthly kits. I love the "Art Deco" look and thought it fit the shadow box look very well. I used a MFT stacks set for the cut out frame.

What perfect timing! A dear friend turned 87 this week and I made this special card for him. He was a mechanic and really loves cars. I thought this classic fitted him to a T!
