I turned the sketch on the side in order to make this card. I used Blueprints 26 for "happy" and "birthday". I dry embossed the background and gently colored the raised part with ripe raspberry, limelight, daffodil and blu raspberry die inks. I mounted the "birthday" strip on a piece of paper cut from the dots and stripes sorbet pack. I finished with some enamel dots.

I was so excited when this set arrived, that I had to stamp and color. My sister's birthday is this week, and I thought this would be a cute card for her. I added some "Blissful Blooms" for a feminine accent and some "Wink of Stella" and a few PPP sequins for sparkle.

MFT color challenge 40
I love the soft colors in this challenge. I added stems in Kraft and spearmint, then used Versamark to add the detail so that I could stay within the same colors. My vase was edged and grounded using Copic markers. A few tiny pearls, and the card was finished. I'm going to keep this palate close by.

I chose to make an A2 card from this sketch because I want to mail it. This is such a nice sentiment for someone who is dealing with some shocking news and I wanted to cheer them up. I water colored my flower with Zig markers. I love the vibrant color which draws the eye to the sentiment.

I'm trying to get a jump on Christmas cards this year so my goal is one a week. I thought this sketch was perfect for two of my favorite TE elements, the tree and the holly cutting plate. Don't they look festive?
