I was so thrilled to be a guest designer for Color Throwdown. 

When the color swatch arrived I immediately thought of flowers! I chose 

these poppy like die cuts along with a variety of greenery. I cut them

 from watercolor paper and colored them with Karin markers

 and water. I was really happy with the many shades the watercolor 

produced. I mounted them all on Eggplant cardstock and a few 

gold touches finished the card. All cardstock is from Taylored Expressions, the sentiment from The Ton, die cuts from various places and the glitter gems are 

from Taylored Expressions.

I used a dark mocha background with a whitewash and then stamped the

shiplap background over it. All of the paper, stamps and dies are from

 Taylored Expressions.

I love these colors together. I used stamps and inks from Taylored Expressions for this card. I love the way it came together. I have so many summer birthdays, that I thought I'd better get busy!

This card was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch this week. I'm loving the way it turned out and hope my friend likes it as well.
