58th Anniversary

We usually go out for a nice dinner to celebrate our anniversary, but his year things are a little different. We are now in the at risk age and opted to have dinner at home. It was a nice evening nonetheless. I made this card for hubby as he had seen me stamp the flowers and commented on how beautiful they were. He loved that I used them to make this card for him.

Mark's Birthday

Our oldest son loves craft beer.When I saw this stamp from "The Ton" I just knew that it would be perfect for him. It is 7 layers of stamping, but worth the time. I added some sparkle flocking to the foam for an even more realistic look. I had just received the plaid stencil from Taylored expressions and used toffee ink on a toffee cardstock. I used honey for the second stencil layer and mounted on a honey card base. He did love the card.

The new background stamps are so beautiful that I had a hard time deciding what to order. I chose this one because of the "white space" and the flowing stems. I stamped on watercolor paper and cut it down to the size I wanted, then watercolored it. I love the way it turned out and I can make another card with the remaining piece. The ric rac die has been one of my favorites ever since I got it. I have used is many, many times. I love this sketch.

I love this sketch. I can see a few more cards with it. I used Taylored Expressions Cardstocks and die cut. The patterned paper was from my stash. The die is an old one called petal pop ups. The sentiment strip is from one of the TE sentiment strips collection. I have so many folks to send this one to. Guess I will have to make a few more!

When I saw these colors, I knew this background stamp from Taylored Expressions would be beautiful! I heat embossed the stamp with Versamark ink and heat embossed with fine detail gold embossing powder. This stamp comes with clear stamps to fill in the flowers and leaves. I used a thin gold border to emphasize the gold embossing and added sentiments from TE. I have been trying to send a few of these thinking of you cards each week to friends I am unable to be with in person.

I pulled out one of my favorite stencils for the background of this card. It is the first 2 step stencil that I purchased. I love the monochromatic look of this card. I have a young lady in mind and hope she likes it.

I just got this stamp and die set from The Stamps of Life and these colors just said sumertime to me so I thought the sun glasses would be perfect. I think they are so cute.

We have had lots of rain here in FL for the past 10 days. I was looking for something sunny and fresh and I think the simplicity of this card fits the bill.

I was going to make a Christmas Card with snowflakes, but as I was looking through my sentient stamps, I came across the star ones and thought this might be more appropriate. I'm happy with it and later may use it again for Christmas.

This sketch was a bit of a stretch for me, but once I began, I loved it and now can see many other ways to use it. Not as messy as I thought and I was able to control the colors. Thanks for the encouragement!
