Mojo Sketch 537
I am so grateful for all of the talented folks who have taken the time to offer a sketch or another challenge during this time of crisis. I know for myself, it is a life saver. Even if I do not do all of them, I look and dream, saving some for another time. I looked at this sketch from the time it was posted and believe it or not, it was the background that challenged me the most. When I came to the decision that I would use a stencil, the card came together.
Thanks, Julee.

These colors are quite popular right now, but I wasn't sure how to translate to a card. I found out that friends were celebrating their 65th anniversary and with that thought in mind, I was able to come up with this card. I used vellum for the leaves an although they don't show up as well in the photo they were a nice added touch.

I have been wanting to try this technique with masking stencils and ink blending and I am quite pleased with the result. This is for a frien's mother who is celebrating her 90th birthday and since she cannot have the celebration that she deserves, her daughter asked for cards, so this is my contribution.

These colors went together much better than I thought they would. I used a turnabout stamp from Concord & 9th and Taylored Expressions in Plum Punch, Lollipop and Peaches and Cream. I just love the names, don't you. My final round was stamped in HA watermark ink and embossed with silver to add a little bling! The greeting was cut from Plum Punch paper and mounted on a white circle. I just love the result!

I really love this sketch. I have a few stamps with a "splat" and the resulting dots. I combined several of them to make this design. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions and is from one of her sentiment strips collections along with the backer die. I don't have anyone in mind right now, but I'm sure that I will!
