I have to admit I love these colors but was not inspired until this afternoon when I was working on a scrapbook page that used these colors. I remembered a technique I learned this spring at a retreat. You stamp a silhouette stamp with versamark on dark paper, then heat emboss with white embossing powder. After the image cools, it is colored with alcohol markers. The look is kind of abstract or water colored. I love it and I love this card.

CTD589
I really love this combination. I made an afgan for one of my sons using this combo. I knew what I wanted to do when I first saw it and I am loving the way it turned out. Stormy weather here today so the colors aren't as vibrant in the photo, but it is beautiful in person. A great card to mail these days!

I have really been pushing myself to use stamps which I have not used before. These tulips are from the Greetery. I put them in a mason jar and I love the look. I'm also trying to mail a few cards a week to folks I have not seen in awhile. I have gotten some really nice phone calls which made me smile.

Never-Seen-Ink
This card is for a Hero Arts Challenge called "Never Seen Ink". The challenge was to use a stamp that you had bought but never opened the package. I did even better than that. I bought the combination consisting of the stamp, die and inks. I had not used any of them and I really do love the stamp and the colors. Now that I have put ink to stamp, I'm sure there will be more hydrangas. This is a favorite flower from my childhood. My grandfather could grow anything and we had these in every color imaginable.
