This is my favorite slider card to make. I love the beautiful card when it's closed and I love hiding a message for the recipient. I am also entering this card into the Birthday Challenge.

Camp Create Day 3

I love shaker cards since MFT found a way to make it fun instead of frustrating! I pulled out some oldies but goodies for this card; distressed stripes background, Merry Christmas circle, Handwritten Holiday greetings and Blueprints 18. I love the way it came together.

This sketch just reminded me of this Blueprints set. I kept the card simple.

I really love the resist technique and I really love this background. The new sentiments stamp has a lot of sweet sayings. 

Camp Create Day 1

I was very happy with my first day at camp. I stamped the image with Versamark and heat embossed with gold.. Then I used some pineapple and coral crush ink to water color the flowers and some jellybean green to color the stems. I used light blue to go around the flowers for a little definition.

My frame is stamped with a retired MFT Plaid Builder stamp. I love the way it allows the silhouette stem to take center stage.

I remember a video where Amy R showed coloring an image on black paper using shades of gold watercolor pigment ink. Of course I had to  immediately buy some. Later on I found some pastels of the same watercolor ink. That's what I used here. After heat embossing my image with white powder, I proceeded to watercolor. I let dry and added a second coat but I am truly impressed with the beautiful color.

I must admit that I was struggling with this combination. I have bits and pieces of cardstock all over my desk, but nothing seemed just right. We have had lots of rain here and when it stops, the sunsets have been spectacular. That was my inspiration.

I chose snowflakes for my circles. It has been so hot here in FL that I was ready for some cool looks.

It's raining today so no nice sunshine for photo taking. I really love this die from MFT and the sweet sentiments that go along with it. Nothing says summer like watermelon. It is absolutely my favorite fruit. It reminds me of summers when I was a child. There were 9 of us children so we could consume a watermelon in an afternoon with no problem!

I used my Gina K wreath builder for the center design. I love looking over my stamp sets for small parts. They always seem so lost but when I put them all together look what happens! This is one of my favorite color combinations. I find it very relaxing and I have several friends who are in need of prayers. I'm sending this one to remind them I'm still praying for them.

I have been missing my friends who are up north and thought maybe a little taste of FL might be in order. I guess I'll have to make a few more if I'm to send them!  LOL

I have been on vacation for 2 weeks and had no time to craft. I had a hard time with these colors for some reason. I guess I can't lay off that long. It was worth the effort, because I love the way this card turned out.

I love this sketch and I'm putting it in my go to book. I did a little masking and inking to showcase my silhouette wild flowers. I thought it made a great card for comfort. I seem to be needing many of these lately.
