I'm finding this year that many folks in our community are leaving to be closer to family as life draws to the end. I understand this aging process all too well and the need for extra care. This morning I watched as another neighbor left and saw the tears as they pulled away. I thought how this sentiment might just cheer them up!

Photo color is not correct but having cloudy day so no sunshine. The background is actually white but I love the way this turned out. I have many friends who are ill with undetermined diagnoses, so I thought this would be a cheery card to send.

I made this card for CTD but the power was out here for most of the day and by the time it came on, I got as far as the Link Party and as I pressed done, it said the link was closed, so I guess it was not to be.

MFT Birthday Project
This month's Birthday Project asks to include a dog or cat. I love the PI girls and this is one of the earlier ones. I just love the look on the kitten's face-so cat typical. This is just Purrfect, don't you think?

MFT Color Challenge 126
I loved mixing the lemon chiffon and the orange zest to make the leaves and the tree. I used chocolate brown for the tree branches and the sentiment and the grout gray for the background. The circle and card base are kraft.

I tried a little of the non-traditional colors for this card using the plaid paper from last year as my inspiration. I used the previously release snowfall stencil and some glitter paste for my backdrop.

I thought that these colors would never go well together, but after sponging the two shades of purple and lavender over this beautiful flourish stencil, I felt that a single flower would be a nice addition. I have not decided for which occasion I will use this card so I left the greeting off, but allowed space for it.

This sketch is a keeper. I made myself a stencil using cardstock and three sizes of a nested die cut set. Then I inked through the openings . I just love this result. It would make a great card for almost any occasion.
This was a Designer Pick!

I wouldn't mind having this skirt! The colors are beautiful! I chose a light purple for my flowers against the bold teal. I think it's a nice contrast on the Ivory cardstock.

This sketch was such fun to make. I used a watercolor panel from Taylored Expressions for my focal point. I found some FSJ paper with similar flowers and colored my flowers with coordinating colors. I love how the colors stand out on the blue background paper.

I really love this layout. It is very versatile. My card is celebrating the end of summer. I seem to have a lot of birthdays this month and I was trying some different things.

I was a little stumped as to how I was going to use these colors together and then my order from MFT showed up with this "skinny strips" die. I love the way it adds some color. I used a stamp from TE for the party animal. I have a fellow in mind for this one.

I love the color choices for this week. My stamp is from The Greetery. I stamped and cut out with the matching die cut. I stenciled the background in pink with the Tile Roof stencil from Cas-ual Fridays. My greeting is a Rubbernecker stamp. I'm hoping it will cheer up a friend.

I have decided to try to make one Christmas Card per week so that I am ready when the time comes. I felt that this sketch really lent itself to a great Christmas card. This is all paper from my stash as I am trying to purge. I love the way it turned out. Thanks FMS for a great sketch this week!

It has really been hard getting back into the groove with my card making. I really enjoyed our trip to Cincinnati, but now it's back to reality, unless we have to evacuate due to the hurricane. I have a lot of birthdays in September, so here is my first card. I love the way it turned out and now I'm ready for the next one.

Camp Create Day 4
Camp Create day 4 is Monochromatic Magic. This is always the most difficult for me, but it came together nicely. I love not only the variance of the shade but also the light and dark, I'll definitely be trying this again.
Camp Create Day 3
Today's challenge is Background Bonanza. The video suggested using die cuts to make a background. I brought my die cut words along, so I will need lots of Thank You cards to send to folks who made my vacation in Cincinnati so much fun.
Camp Create Day 2
Today's challenge was Magnificent Masking. I cut on oval mask and used watercolors in rainbow colors around the mask. When all was dry, I added a sentiment.
Camp Create Day 1
Today was Inlaid Made Easy. I chose to inlay the Rainbow on this card. I mixed the old style with a new greeting and I love the way it turned out.

Camp Create Day 4
This is my favorite slider card to make. I love the beautiful card when it's closed and I love hiding a message for the recipient. I am also entering this card into the Birthday Challenge.
