SJC11

I love the simplicity of this sketch. I was able to show the beautiful Holly embossing folder. I had the frame sitting on my desk, as I hadn't used it in a long time. The stamp is an older one with lots of beautiful sentiments for the season.

MFTWSC 254

I chose more traditional colors for this card. Cranberry cordial and gold paper on a smooth white cardstock. The Tree and packages are from Birdie Brown's "Santa's Elves" stamp set and cut with coordinating dies. The top design comes from Blueprints 18 (love my blueprints). The images were colored with copics.

What a fun sketch. This one could be vertical as well as horizontal. I love the layers. I chose to add a cute elf bearing a package. Doesn't he just say Christmas?

TEchallenge10

I love this sketch. I found a fall leaves embossing folder among my many. I have finally gathered them all together in one place and was surprised to see how many I actually own! The photo reminded me of changing leaves in fall and so I went with shades of orange for my layers. My stamps are from a previous set called "falling for you". I stamped them and then covered them with "Perfect Pearls" in a gold color to add to the fall theme.

I loved seeing the designers take on this sketch. Even though I have the stars die-namics, I needed a birthday card. I stamped the balloon strings background in gold and cut out the balloons with the stax. I ran them all through an embossing folder and added some shimmer with my Stella. Happy Birthday from PI and a Washi die-namics finished the card.

MFT Color Challenge 32

These colors presented a challenge. I did not own After Midnight and planned to use Nightshift Blue. I couldn't come up with a design, so I ordered the proper paper and fell in love with it. The photo never justifies the color but it is a really rich true blue. I'm sure it will find its way on to many future cards for me. I used the Christmas Rose die namics as well as the pierced flourish and leaves. Sentiment is from the new tag sentiments.

When my new stamps arrived, I knew the vertical text would look good on this card. I found the background paper from an old SEI pack. The others are from my stash. I made the butterflies using Jennifer McGuire's faux metal technique using Perfect Pearls. They were cut with die cuts that I have had for years and I am not sure from which company. I am so pleased with the way it turned out.

MFTWSC252

I needed a sympathy card for a friend who's mother passed away last week. The simplicity of the sketch and the beautiful "Peaceful Wildflowers" stamp set and matching dies made this card very special.

Share the Joy #9

This is the first time I have been able to enter the TE challenge. I especially love my TE Christmas stamps and die cuts. When I first saw the sketch, I thought of a wreath. Of course, since we have been involved in remodeling, I can't find my wreath stamps and dies, so I made this card instead. We relocated to FL this year, so I want my Christmas Cards to be very special for our family since we can't spend the holidays with them. I think this one really fits the "special" card, don't you?

I have really had a hard time getting myself together to finish my cards on time. Hopefully, now that my craft area is just about finished and my storage is organized, I will be able to concentrate on the creative side. I love the tall and skinny cards. The simplicity of this sketch lent itself to a sophisticated Christmas card. I hope the recipient likes it.
