MFTWSC162

I have been in a Valentine frame of mind and this is what I came up with. All of the die cuts are from MFT. I love the rose and overlay and have not used it much, so when I saw the circle in the sketch, I knew it would fit the bill. The leaves are part of the overlay leaves set and I just used the overlay. The black sparkly paper is by a company called POW and is thinner than most, so it works well with the die cuts. I stamped the background of the rose with the "artist text". I'm not sure who the recipient will be, but I hope it brightens their day!

Mojo 331

This card will be used for MFT stamps color challenge for the month of February as well as the Mojo challenge for this week. The papers are from MFT and the sentiment is from Verve. I have 4 children so I'd better get this one in the mail!

MFTWSC161

My youngest son has a birthday next week and I was looking for a card appropriate for a man approaching middle age. They will always be my children, and sometimes it is hard to believe they are grown men. I rotated this sketch and used MFT kraft, natural, safety orange and steel gray cardstock, to compliment the chevron patterned paper from the "Snippets" collection by studio calico. I used the MFT license plate die and alphabet for the focal piece to let my son know that he is indeed a "Great Son".

I was so happy to see a change for the new year for the last week. It was round or square and I found those difficult. Tall and skinny turned out to be fun. A bit different for the proportions, but I like the way it turned out. I think this sketch is a keeper.
