MFT color 97

This challenge contained some of my favorite colors. I stamped the image on no line paper with grout gray ink and colored with copic markers, using MFT's copic matching chart.  I love the way this turned out. I have several friends who need cheering up right now and I think this will fill the bill!

I chose to make a snow globe shaker card. I embossed the background with a snowfall embossing folder, cut out the opening for the snow globe and added glitter to most of the snow on the background. I used the MFT snow globe kit which contains many items which are proportioned to fit. I chose the house, some trees and a snowdrift. After many minutes assembling the background, i added some sequins and beads and it was ready to go. Lastly, I added the base cut from some wood paper. I love the finished look that it gives. I will not be making lots of these this year but I do love the result.

MFT Color #96

I found patterned paper in the colors of the challenge in various paper packs. I love the depth using the patterns gives the card.

I have loved this set since I first set eyes on it. I don't use it often enough. This is not the design that I had in mind, but once I stamped the images and colored them with copics, it took on a life of its own!
I love the result and have someone in mind to send it to.

Isn't this a stunning color combination? I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I stamped the flower in Versamark, heat embossed it with gold tinsel embossing powder and water colored it. I added a gold leafy flourish behind it and I think it complimented the flower well.

An interesting sketch this week. I"m happy with the way it turned out!

I've begun my Christmas in July. I'm going to try to make some cards each week so that Christmas doesn't find me trying to get caught up on them as well as all the other activities during December. I love this little elf and the way this card turned out. There may be more than one of these in the mix.
