MFT Color Challenge #63

These colors really lend themselves well to the multiple stamped images. I used the sketched blooms stamp set and stamped off the green-eyed monster colored leaves so that the contrast was not so stark. I really like the dark accents. I masked off the bottom for the sentiment and accented it with a scored line. Sentiment is from the lots of hugs set.

I was so happy to receive my band-aids. I just love using them on get well cards. When I saw this sketch, I just knew I had to use them. I chose happy colors from the tiny dots paper pad along with a sentiment from an older set. I showed it to my card group and I expect a few will be ordering the dies!

I have had this stamp set from Impression Obsession for quite a few years. I have been organizing my craft supplies and came across this set. I have Irish roots and lots of Irish friends, so I love to celebrate the holiday. This layout was just begging for this stamp set, so I was happy to oblige.

I didn't get this card posted in time, but for a good reason. I got to visit the MFT Boutique! It was a really fun day and the folks there are as nice as you think they are. Thrill for me!

It seems like forever since I have posted here. I couldn't let Valentine's day pass without a special card for my hubby. He loves a little glitz with his cards so I think this should fill the bill. It's hard to surprise him when he is interested in what I'm doing but I think I made it this time!

I am still not a fan of square cards, although I'm not sure why. I do try to make a card for these sketches, though, to stretch my comfort zone. I never liked tall and skinny either but now I find that I am more comfortable with them. I loved this doily cut out with my silhouette and thought it would make a great Valentine!

Love Grows Here

I belong to a Card Club which meets weekly at a church. We take turns "teaching" how to make a card. There are some very talented ladies in this group. Whenever I take a class at a convention or other place, I save cards that I especially like and would be willing to share with this group. I was taught this card at "StampawayUSA" some time ago by Taylor from Taylored Expressions. We made the card on the right. I made the card on the left to show another color combination and colored the image with colored pencils. We used Copic Markers in Taylor's class. I hope the ladies enjoy this as much as I did.

I really thought long and hard about this one, but I love the way it turned out!
