PP320

This is my first time to play with this challenge. Unfortunately the linky closed just as I clicked it! It is so hard to keep up while we are travelling.

MFTWSC338

I found a piece of cardstock that I had embossed for another project and then did not use. It worked out perfectly to showcase this seagull. A little pop of color in the sun and I love the look!

MFTWSC336

I am loving the new card kit. I like the more subtle colors of the prints against the vibrant solids. So many wonderful sentiments are included to fit most any space. I got a little crazy with my dots on the sentiment, but since everything else was patterned, it seemed naked!

SIP104

We are on vacation so I have limited supplies on hand, but I managed to match these colors which really pleased me. I used a die cut from MFT as the frame and added strips of color behind the frame. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed it with  "silver lightening" embossing powder from Sparkle n Sprinkle.

FMS291

This is my first time posting to FMS. I had seen a card on Pintrest that I liked and when I followed the links, I came across this site. This sketch spoke to me and here is my interpretation. I love simple clean lines which let the elements take center stage.

MOJO500

This is the last sketch for Mojo Monday. I have to say that Julee is responsible for my growth in card making. Although I did not begin submitting my cards until 2013 when my blog began, one of the first sketches I used was #121. I made several cards using that one and checked every week until one caught my eye and then used that one. It wasn't until I got more serious that I made myself use each sketch whether I liked it or not. It was the smartest thing I ever did for myself. I am sorry to see it come to an end, but I have a library of endless possibilities.

Roar Birthday

This is for my great grandson's birthday. I tried a little of the pencil coloring and I love the way  the white color adds such dimension.

SIP Challenge #102

Today is our 55th wedding anniversary and I made this card for my husband. He likes cards with a little sparkle or shine, and a pop of color. I think this fits the bill! All the products used are from My Favorite Things except for the embossing powder which is silver detail from Sparkle n Sprinkle. I hope he likes it!

MFTWSC335

I used the lined up circles background stamp in Gravel Gray on Stone Gray cardstock. I added a piece of paper from the black and white paper pack. The roses from the Pretty Posies set were stamped onto Cherry Crisp cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed with Vanilla Ice embossing powder from Sparkle n Sprinkle. A sentiment strip embossed with a greeting from Essential sentiments with detail white embossing powder completed the card.

MOJO499

For the last Monday of the month, a square design was chosen. I am not usually a fan of this style since it is not in my comfort box, but I am pleased with this one. I love this pattern paper from MFT and once I chose the color, the card came together quickly. The simple sentiment really fits this type of a card.
