MFTWSC211

I am needing too many of these cards lately. When I saw the oval in the sketch, I thought about the forget-me-nots. They are such sweet flowers for this sentiment. I used sno cone and natural for the colors. The leaves are jelly bean green. The butterfly is a wood accent from my stash.

I was looking for a card to send to a friend who lost her husband about 6 months ago. I just wanted her to know I was thinking about her. I loved the simplicity of the sketch and thought it fit well with the sentiment.

MFTWSC210

What a nice sketch to begin the New Year! I had this pot of flowers stamped to practice with my copics and I thought it went so well with the new teal color released last month. I just love the colors-they make me happy!

Maybe a get well card or thank you.

I thought this would be a great card to mix textures and colors. I embossed the background and then lightly inked over the embossing so that the texture would show through better. I randomly stamped a pattern on the square and then added a flower where the small square is shown. I'm thinking spring!

Aren't these fun colors? MFT has added 12 new colors, 6 last month and 6 this month. Since moving to FL the teal, limeade and peach really fit. I love the zebra stencil and the "wild things" that went along with the release. I used the stitch strip from BP 13 to make the angle cut match the rest of the card. The teal background BP 20 as was the body of the striped piece. The heart, cut 4 times for depth, is from BP 4. A little bling colored to match the strips with a copic marker, add the final touch!

The first Mojo Monday submission of the new year! Since it was published on Monday of last week, it is technically the last one of 2014. The last sketch of the month has been "tall and skinny". I had trouble with them at first, but now love them. I used some of the new colors from MFT and played a little with stencils, and embossing folders.

Comments are always welcome! Happy and Healthy New Year to all!
