Purse OSW

My friend, Jill, taught this class at Sparkle n Sprinkle and my friend, Sandy took the class. Sandy, knowing how much I love the OSW sent me photos of the cards she made at the class. The next day I got an email from Jill with the instructions. I was thrilled since I'm in Cincinnati right now and not able to make any of the classes. I did not have the stamp with me that they had used, but here is my take using what I had available.

Thanks, ladies, for sharing!

This month's challenge was anything but a card. I chose to make these cute bookmarks. They fold over the page and are held together with small magnets on the inside. They are great for any kind of sentiments and media.

My husband asked me if I could make a thank you card for a guy. A friend of his helped him fix a car problem which had been baffling not only my husband, but many of his mechanic friends since last year. I was looking through a pad of Tim Holtz paper and found these two, both having to do with cars. A t-shirt seemed most appropriate since that's what the guys wear when working on cars in the summer. I borrowed the sentiments from "Pure Innocence" stamps.

Thank You Cards

Here are the other 2 "Thank You" cards that I made for the folks in Maryland. They have been sent and I hope received, so I can post them. The top one uses one of the TE graphic greetings which I embossed with gold detail glitter from Sparkle n Sprinkle.

The bottom one was a thank you for a 4th of July party. The stamps are all from TE. I cut the US out twice, once in red and once in blue and paper pieced so that it looked correct. I added a little gold glitter to the fireworks. Hope the receivers enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.

This sketch really lends itself to a simple card. I was looking to make some all occasion cards as I seem to be needing a lot of them lately. This paper was in the Jan KI kit from TE. I have reordered the paper twice because I love it so much.

Mojo 301

We spent 2 weeks in Columbia MD visiting with my 94 yr old Aunt Edith and my cousins. It is always wonderful catching up on everyone's lives. I needed some thank you notes for the kindnesses we were shown. This is the first one, using the Mojo 301 sketch for inspiration.

I love the saying that came in this stamp set. The umbrella is paper pieced with the coordinating paper.
